Bioanalytics Start-up InvitroCue is Preparing for the Global Stage

Biotech entrepreneur Dr Steven Fang is no stranger to the start-up scene … Fang recently listed bio-analytics firm InvitroCue on the ASX, just four years after the company was founded. “What we’re doing today breaks almost all records. We took four years to build IVQ and get it to generate revenue.” … He reckons that A*STAR plays a pivotal role in the start-up ecosystem in the city state, especially in the medtech and biotech space. “So far, we don’t have that many biotech entrepreneurs that have made enough money to pump resources back into the industry,” he laments , “if you look at benchmark in the US, a lot of the very innovative start-up companies were funded by successful biotech entrepreneurs. We don’t have that here yet, but I think in time to come, as more biotech and medtech companies become successful, we will.”
